Welcome to the website of Renaissance International School Saigon. Whether you are an existing or prospective member of our community, or simply interested in learning more about our school.
Our students have achieved outstanding end-of-Key Stage, IGCSE and IB Diploma results. Our graduating students enter universities and colleges around the world: principally in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, New Zealand and Vietnam.
The school prides itself on being a multi-cultural learning community. Within this community we promote, celebrate and cherish diversity in language and culture; we teach our students to respect and value other people’s views, even when different from their own.
Our vibrant co-educational day school has an international enrolment of over 500 students from more than 23 different nationalities, aged from 2 to 18. Our programme of study is delivered in English and is based on the UK National Curriculum (for 2- to 14-year-olds), Cambridge IGCSE (for 14- to 16-year-olds) and the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (for 16- to 18-year-olds). The International Primary Curriculum, an internationally respected learning- focused curriculum found in over 1500 schools worldwide, enhances the Primary School curriculum.
In addition to the various curriculum offerings, our children participate in an extensive enrichment programme that provides opportunities for them to develop skills, expand their sporting or performing arts abilities, join the international student awards programme or Model United Nations or just simply have fun after school. We believe that our students should be aware of the needs of those less privileged than us, so our school is committed to a variety of community service programmes. It is essential that these activities are not seen as merely tokenistic, so we are establishing and developing long-term support projects for local charities, hospitals and orphanages.
In recognition of our location and host country, we integrate aspects of Vietnamese culture, language and education into our programme, fulfilling the requirements of the Vietnam Ministry of Education. Our school provides a stimulating, challenging and supportive learning environment for a student body of over 23 nationalities, the focus being on a personalized learning approach and the development of all-round growth – intellectual, physical, spiritual, creative and social.
The Renaissance International School Saigon has an exciting future with further planned growth at the present campus and the creation of new learning initiatives, which will assist the school in becoming one of the leading international schools in Vietnam.
We invite you and your child to get to know us, see what we offer, and think how your child will thrive in a culture of international diversity on an unparalleled learning journey. Please accept our invitation to visit our school, tour our campus and meet our talented students and inspiring teachers.
Not only is the school fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and received an excellent BSO inspection report, our students graduate into leading colleges and universities and our IB Diploma scores are consistently above world average.
Our curriculum across the Early Years to Key Stage 3 is based on the requirements of the English National Curriculum, modified in part to meet the needs of a diverse international school community. In Key Stage 4 our students study a range of subjects that lead to the award of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education whilst our Year 12 and Year 13 students our students are involved in the International Baccalaureate.
As a Round Square school we are united around a shared belief in an approach to education based on a collective commitment to the Round Square IDEALS – Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service – and to four Core Values: the pursuit of academic and personal excellence, a student-centred teaching and learning environment, a strong family focus and an inherent respect for ourselves, our planet and each other.
The school boasts excellent facilities including purpose built classrooms, specialist facilities for art, music, science and drama, a 350 seat theatre, an indoor 25 metre swimming pool and a large sporting field. Our teachers are recruited internationally and are united by the common desire to ensure the best for the students.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
I have worked here for over two years now and each day is a pleasure. All of the staff- teaching and non-teaching- are warm, supportive and professional. The school environment fosters a real love of a learning and has a strong focus on character education, which is so important for the workforce of the future. The students are happy and supportive of each other- a real pleasure to work with. A wonderful place to come and work or study.

I'm Head Girl of Year 6 and I have been at Renaissance school for 6 years. I have enjoyed being at Renaissance because of all the fun events that happen around the school year. I also enjoy learning all the different types of subjects including Math, English and IPC.

Right now I am currently Head Boy in Year 6, I have been in Renaissance for 9 years and as a student that has been in RISS for 9 years there is nothing that I haven't enjoyed. For me, all the teachers, head teachers and TAs are wonderful. They are always willing to help students in any situation. And if you are asking me what subject do I like the most, I would say every subject because the teachers here make learning more fun and easy to understand.

I have worked at Renaissance International School Saigon for seven years and I believe that the school is student-centered, academically focused and family-friendly. There are excellent teachers from around the world who deliver an excellent curriculum. The students enjoy learning at our school and are able to access a wide range of subjects, sporting opportunities, and extracurricular opportunities. The school is also the only Round Square school in Vietnam which means that our students are able to develop both as academics and as well-rounded characters who can contribute to the wider community.

Renaissance International School Saigon is truly a wonderful place to work. I have been treated like family since I joined the school and this is so important because I am so far away from home. The school has enabled me to deliver exciting fun lessons and is supporting me every step of the way. I feel very lucky to be working here, teaching amazing children in a great environment where I am appreciated and valued. I can't reccommend RISS more highly.

I have worked at the school for three years and absolutely love it - the community feeling across the campus is palpable and the sense of belonging is something, as a school,we take great pride in. Over the last two years through the efforts of a dedicated faculty we have celebrated academic success in both the Diploma Program and the IGCSE with outstanding results. Renaissance is a brilliant place to work!
