Full-time Faculty-Associate/Full Professor in Law

Job Summary

The Department of Legal Studies at Zayed University is inviting applications for full time positions in Administrative Law, Civil procedures Law & Criminal Law.

Candidates should hold a doctorate in Law or a Law & Islamic Sharia from credit university and be willing to contribute to teaching in post-graduate programs. Apart from standard introductory, theory, methods and critical thinking courses, specialization in one or more of the following substantive are as would be an advantage: Civil procedures Law, Public Law, Comparative Law, Criminal Justice.

In addition to teaching and scholarly requirements, faculty are expected to provide service to the College and to the University; to participate in the development, evaluation and revision of the college curriculum; to participate in the implementation of assessment of major learning outcomes; and actively engage in research activities leading to the publication of peer-reviewed articles and/or books in their area of specialization. Faculty liaise extensively with external constituents to further the mission of the University within the community.

Requirements

• Successful candidates will fully meet the expectations for the position,
• A Ph.D. in Civil Procedures Law or a Ph.D. in Criminal Law or a Ph.D. in Administrative Law.
• A proven record of excellence at baccalaureate-level teaching for 7 years at least.
• Dedication to curricular innovation.
• Record of professional accomplishment including peer-reviewed publications and/or presentations, in last 5 years.
• Commitment to a sustained research program and interest in collaboration with another Faculty.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate web-based and/or digital technology in the classroom.
• Willingness to provide service to the University and the College.
• Experience with graduate programs in Law would be an asset.
