Welcome to Garden International School, Eastern Seaboard, Ban Chang where we aim to provide an adventure for young minds and a home for their hearts. In a family-friendly setting, we nurture your child’s passions and interests, help them to develop as caring and compassionate individuals, and prepare them to take on leadership roles in their chosen fields.

Garden International School is a co-educational school of around 480 students, drawn mainly from the Pattaya, Sattahip and Rayong areas, comprising of around 40 nationalities we are a truly international community.

We welcome students from the age of two into our Early Years programme and follow a British style curriculum up to age 16 when our students sit the Cambridge International General Certificate of Education examinations (IGCSEs). For the final two years of their education at GIS, our oldest students, aged 16 – 18, undertake the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and year after year, our examination results at both IGCSE and IBDP far exceed international averages. Our students go on to study at some of the best universities around the World.

GIS is the only school on the Eastern Seaboard to have been fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). We are also accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), Cambridge Assessment International Education and the Thai Ministry of Education (ONESQA). We are affiliated to the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and the Department for Education in the United Kingdom. We are also a founder member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).

We aspire to empower our community with the knowledge, skills and intercultural understanding to be effective leaders in a sustainable, peaceful and increasingly technological world.

GIS is a vibrant, international community of passionate, lifelong learners. We strive for excellence and inclusivity through collaboration and reflection, nurturing our own and each other’s potential, and modelling our core values.

At GIS we believe that school life is about much more than just academic success, becoming a well-rounded individual is important too. Our values are the underlying principles and beliefs that guide our actions and form the basis of our rewards and sanctions system at GIS.

Some students may need some assistance, guidance or support in order to better access the curriculum. At GIS this is usually done through in-class support or by withdrawal; sometimes individually or at other times in small groups. The key is that our Special Educational Needs staff, both teachers and teaching assistants, work to support students based on their individual needs to a programme developed in consultation with the parents.

At GIS we offer an international curriculum using the British education system as a framework, modified to suit the needs of our international intake. This aims to instill our Core Values in students and promote positive attitudes towards learning and society in general.

With a strong academic emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills, class teachers ensure the GIS curriculum offers a differentiated, wide and balanced variety of educational opportunities that allow for independence, communication, inquiry, thinking, creativity and challenge.

We aspire to empower our community with the knowledge, skills and intercultural understanding to be effective leaders in a sustainable, peaceful and increasingly technological world.

I attended an open house. First of all, the staff and teachers are very friendly, helpful, and wonderful. It's well equipped and very clean. My daughter really liked the chemistry room. The art and digital art rooms were well-equipped with equipment (3D printers, etc.), which seemed to increase motivation. The students also greet me when they meet and are friendly.

A fantastic learning environment for both my children in all areas of the curriculum. They love going to school in the morning and attending after school activities in sport.

Both of my children go to foundation at GIS. The learning environment and layout of that part of the school is completely immersive and conducive to learning. On top of that all the foundation teachers and TA's really go the extra mile for the children in everything that they do.As someone that went to a grim pre-fab school in the North of England, I would recommend this school for anyone that wishes to give their child a great education.
