The Right Decision for You and Your Child
Finding the right school for your child is a big decision, and at GIS we are here to help.
The formal application process usually starts with a tour of the school by one of our friendly admissions team, followed by an informal discussion about your child's individual needs.
For further information please refer to our Guidebook for Admission, or if you'd rather speak to someone directly, please give the school a call.
We're here to help
If you have specific questions about the school or would like to arrange a visit, you can call, fax, or fill out the contact form.

In line with our Mission and Vision, at GIS we do not select our students by ability. Subject to space being available, we will admit any student who we believe will be able to access, and benefit from, the curriculum offered for their age level. This may be with or without additional support.
Where additional support is needed, the student will not be admitted until the requisite support is in place.
Students are placed by age, unless the school and parents agree that an alternative placement is in the best interests of the student, and of the wider student body.
Applications and capacity
Applications are accepted throughout the year, and students will normally be admitted 2 school days after all enrolment processes have been completed.
We offer 2 classes in each year group.
Allocation of places and waiting lists
Where a class is full, waiting lists are created with students given priority as follows:
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, based on fulfilment of the enrolment process, until classes are full.
NB: Within each category, a student seeking boarding provision will be given higher priority than a day student, if the boarding house has spaces.
If an application is received from a student who is considered higher priority than a student already on the waiting list, that student will be placed higher on the list than the student already registered. Students of equal priority will be placed on a first come, first served basis.
