Global Nusantara School

Global Nusantara School (GNS) was established in the early years of the 21st century, operating in Meruya – West Jakarta, Indonesia.

It is a fully-accredited national school under the Indonesian Education Ministry, and at the same time operates using the Cambridge English language-based International core curriculum using a unique pedagogical framework to educate future generations based on a philosophy of learning, which layers academic knowledge with social awareness and global understanding.

GNS offers our students a dual path of both accredited Indonesian national education and the worldwide possibilities of an international education through implementing an internationally recognized curriculum and teaching pedagogy.

At GNS, we offer an alternative to traditional schooling. We provide superior instruction in an active, student-centered environment. We give our students a place where learning is fun and we provide them with a one-of-a-kind school experience where the components of Curriculum, Assessment and Pedagogy are approached in a new and inspiring way, different than the traditional approaches to learning that often leave children not loving the experience. Whatever their needs, we help our children and their parents tailor their education to meet their unique set of circumstances.

GNS has been a leading provider of education in Jakarta since 2005. Although our student body is largely made of Indonesian citizens, we have a good selection of expat children as well, which makes studying at GNS a truly international experience. We are involved with our kids instruction every step of the way. Our supportive philosophy has resulted in a far-reaching student base over the past 11 years, and our graduates have gone on to many varied and respected universities. The curriculum at GNS is challenging, innovative, and aligned with national standards. At GNS, students find the same content that is found in traditional Cambridge-based national PLUS schools in Indonesia. We provide a comprehensive set of classes that cover both national and Cambridge core subjects, as well as additional areas of study. We prepare students to enter the workforce as well as attend the college of their choice.

Personalized, one-on-one support sets GNS apart from our competitors. We are with students every step of the way and they are never alone! Our staff has a vested interest in the success of our kids. If students have a question about a lesson or need help with their homework, they can turn to our GNS staff at any time. We are with them all the way.

GNS is an accredited school that has been granted national accreditation by the Indonesian Ministry of Education (Diknas), and is a fully recognized Cambridge training center.

Our language programs develop proficiency in a second language and are grounded in GNS's whole-child, personalized, and experiential educational approach. Similar to other GNS students, each child enrolled in a language program has a personalized learning plan, with personal goals and curricula based on their level and passions across all academic areas. Language programs also inspire an appreciation of culture, history, and arts through project-based learning.
