HTS is an exceptional community; a vibrant, caring home to students from JK to Grade 12, whose talents are developed by committed and caring teachers using innovative and creative approaches to learning. Our outstanding academic program enables students to thrive and thoroughly prepares them for success at university and beyond. This is complemented by extensive sports, music, drama and art programs that provide a rich and well-rounded school experience for students of every age.  What truly sets HTS apart is our focus on character and values – respect, integrity, leadership and confidence – to help our young people develop exceptional capabilities and a strong moral compass.

Life at HTS is multi-dimensional and no website or prospectus can fully capture the spirit of this wonderful school. The only way to get a genuine feel for what we believe in and what we do is to visit and meet the people who are the beating heart of the school – our students. Happy and confident, and characterized by their open and welcoming manner, our students will offer sincere words of welcome when they greet you. They are proud of their school.

Holy Trinity School (HTS) is committed to educational excellence, as measured by readiness for university entrance, and to the development of the character and individual abilities of our students within the context of Christian values and personal integrity. A world-class learning environment, HTS offers a personalized experience through which students become confident and agile thinkers, able to operate independently and collaboratively in all settings.

At HTS, we value respect, compassion and dignity — the underpinnings of our Christian beliefs and everything that we do. With these values, we develop knowledge, skills and empathy for others in our students. HTS welcomes every person without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, family status, or disability.

HTS is committed to ensuring that the key principles of equity, fairness and inclusion are integrated into all of our policies, programs, operations and practices. We also ensure that the personal integrity, personal safety and well-being of all our community members are respected. The inclusive environment at HTS allows our students to develop diverse perspectives that enable them to thrive in our school community and as global citizens.

In 2015, we updated all key priorities and initiatives of our School’s Strategic Plan. This plan will provide HTS with clarity in direction and will be reviewed and updated as needed as we move towards 2020. Our plan has specific goals and objectives which are designed to create a world-class learning environment while offering a personalized student experience, while keeping the school at the forefront of an independent school education.

Our Kindergarten to Grade 6 Lower School is a warm and welcoming community nestled within the vibrant and interconnected K-12 environment. Our teachers work in partnership with our families to foster a personalized learning experience for each child. Our students are known and cared for as individuals. We foster the development of students’ self-efficacy, confidence, character and initiative.

Students are provided with a wide variety of ways to develop their personal strengths and curiosity through academics, leadership, co-curriculars, experiential education and community service. From the Invention Convention to reading buddies, Science Olympics to public speaking, chapel services to the Father Bob Run, students in the Lower School have regular opportunities to be involved in a full school capacity all while feeling a true sense of belonging in the Lower School.

Being in the middle can be tough - neither here nor there. In the Middle School at HTS we honour this with an approach to learning that guides each student’s jump from the junior grades and prepares them for the transition to our Senior School.

Creative and caring teachers provide a rich and challenging curriculum that is geared towards the developing minds of adolescence. While academic expectations are being met and surpassed, special attention is given to each student helping them develop the tools that they will need to see success in their future years at HTS and beyond.

HTS provides time outside of the academic timetable to allow students to fill their toolbox, follow their interests, or seek support during FLEX (Flexible Learning Experience). From study skills to organization, debate to coding, investment club to wellness and leadership, FLEX is designed to complement the educational excellence of the classroom.

The Middle School at HTS also offers many opportunities to perform, create, play, and challenge. Thirteen teams compete wearing the Hawks uniform. Our concert band and other ensembles shine at every concert. Trips to leadership camps, Quebec City, Space Camp, and national tournaments complete a well-rounded experience.

The Senior School is a place where students are exposed to a wide variety of learning, leadership, and co-curricular opportunities - all of which make the HTS experience exceptional, not only for the senior students but the entire community.

The HTS Senior School has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence. In the classroom, students learn how to build their analytical skills, master problem solving and deeply engage with course material. As an Apple Distinguished School, we use technology to enhance this learning and make it more relevant for the 21st-century learner. Our teachers are committed to helping our students realize their potential and exceed their own expectations.

Outside the classroom, our students are encouraged to follow their passion. Athletics is a place where students learn to work as a team, stay physically active, and build character. Our arts program encourages a love of the arts and growth through our many bands and ensembles, our annual school production, and our vibrant art program. Our clubs and societies offer the opportunity for students to engage in other passions from CAD Club to the Model United Nations.
