Dubai, UAE: Al Najah Education has announced that its popular British school, Horizon International School, will welcome a new headmaster this coming academic year. Mr. Darren Gale, whose appointment was approved by the KHDA this week, will join the school from September, marking the start of a year filled with new and exciting developments for the Jumeirah-based school.
Mr. Raza Khan, CEO of Al Najah Education, says: “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Darren Gale to Horizon International School. Mr. Gale has an exceptional track record with top-rated British schools in the UAE, and his appointment will contribute to Al Najah Education’s wider goal of making premium quality education more accessible to families in Dubai.
“We thank our previous headmaster, Mr. Lee Davies, who is moving into a corporate role within the group. Under Mr. Davies’ leadership, the school has achieved record enrolments for the 2018/19 academic year, alongside impressive sporting and academic achievement. Horizon International School is now the best value premium British school in Dubai.“
Mr. Gale holds a degree in Languages and Linguistics from the University of Wolverhampton, and has accumulated nearly two decades of experience within the global education landscape – including leadership roles in some of the most successful and respected premium British schools in the UAE.
Mr Gale says, “Following 12 years of experience in leadership roles in some of the most outstanding schools in the UAE, I am extremely proud to have been appointed as the headmaster of Horizon International School. This is a great opportunity to build on the achievements of one of Dubai’s most popular and well-established British schools, and to create a truly personalised, rich, and fulfilling learning experience for the students.”
Mr. Khan says that there are exciting plans for Horizon International School in the next academic year, including new extra-curricular activities, an enhanced sporting programme building on the school’s success in the BSME games, and the introduction of personalised learning programmes for Mathematics, English and Science.
