Kidz Village follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) of the British National Curriculum. Our classrooms blend seamlessly into the natural environment and we provide daily opportunities for our students to be engaged in indoor and outdoor learning activities. Our goal at Kidz Village is to give your child the best start in their education by providing a high-quality early years educational experience.
We support physical , and emotional wellbeing through our carefully planned menu, by including daily play and learning in the outdoors, and providing a teaching staff that is fully committed to ensuring the safety, security and acceptance of your child. The driving vehicle for our teaching practice at Kidz Village is The Project Approach. Project investigation will occur cross-circularly, and the students are supported to make decisions and take ownership of their learning.
The Kidz Village curriculum follows the standards and goals for learning, development and care as proscribed in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) of The British Curriculum. Additionally current and internationally recognized research on how children develop and learn as endorsed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) forms a valid and reliable assessment instrument that allows teachers to assess child progress and plan responsively.
Kidz Village International Kindergarten is located on 7 rai of land and is purposively designed to incorporate the natural environment into the learning spaces. Fundamental to the design and organization of the school is the belief that “nature is important to children’s development in every major way; intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically “(Kellert, 2005). The school environment is rich with shade provided by trees. It includes a green house, natural flowing canal, gardens and a farm area. A variety of beautiful plants and flowers can be seen throughout along with fresh produce grown here on the school farm.
Our classrooms are designed and influenced by traditional Thai architecture with high ceilings and full wall door openings to provide maximum airflow and allow us to minimize our use of air conditioning. The spacious playgrounds, garden and school animals allow our students to extend their learning across a wide range of environments applying skills and knowledge to multiple contexts. At Kidz Village International Kindergarten our belief that children thrive in a natural learning environment is evident through both the design of the physical environment and the range of opportunities our students are encouraged to engage in.
