Kings’ School Al Barsha is celebrating another year of outstanding achievements as students receive their A Level and BTEC results today. This year’s results continue to build on the impressive success of previous cohorts, with 41% of all entries awarded A* or A grades.
Among the highlights of this year’s results are Emirati student, Rashid Benhendi, who achieved exceptional results with 3 A’s and 2 A* grades in Biology, Chemistry Mathematics, Arabic and EPQ.
Rashid commented on his success, saying, “The journey at Kings’ has been transformative. The support from my teachers and the opportunities I’ve been given have truly shaped who I am today. I’m grateful to be part of a community that always encouraged me to aim high.”
Another student whose hard work is testament to her success is Lauren Hardcastle, who achieved an extraordinary set of four A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and EPQ. Lauren will be pursuing Engineering at Oxford University.
Reflecting on her journey at Kings’, Lauren stated, “This summer has been a whirlwind of anticipation, culminating in a moment of pure joy today! I am beyond grateful for the exceptional teaching, unwavering support, and lifelong friendships I’ve formed during my seven years at Kings’. These experiences have shaped not just my academic journey but the person I am today.”
This year also saw strong university placements, with students securing spots at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions. In addition to Lauren’s success at Oxford, Kings’ School Al Barsha students have places at University College London (UCL) for courses in Medicine, Medical Innovation, and Psychology, as well as London School of Economics (LSE), Kings College London and other notable placements including Ivy League schools in the USA. The majority of King’s students have secured their first-choice placement for further education institutions.
Kings’ is testament to the UAE’s vision of ‘Excellence in Education’. The UAE has high expectations for all people residing in the UAE. This can be seen in the growth of the academic successes amongst the Emirati community, whereby many Emirati members of the Kings’ school community have surpassed their expected results.
Commenting on the overall results, Sajid Gulzar, Principal of Kings’ Al Barsha stated: “This year’s cohort has demonstrated incredible dedication and resilience. Their achievements are a testament to the hard work they have put in and the exceptional guidance provided by our teaching staff. I’m proud to see our students continuing to excel both academically and personally.”

The rapidly expanding Sixth Form continues to thrive, with student numbers growing each year reflecting the increasing demand for the high-quality education that Kings’ provides.
