Admissions Procedure

Darul Uloom London caters for all pupils who are eleven years old and above (of secondary school age). All prospective students will be required to sit an entrance assessment. Once a student has satisfactorily completed the examination and after receipt of a written reference and recent report from the applicant’s current school, he will then be invited for an interview with a member of the school’s management. The pupil will soon after be informed over the decision of his admittance.

A Darul Uloom application pack must be filled in and all required documents must be handed with the pupil’s examination papers; until the application pack is complete students, will not be officially admitted. Application packs will be provided when the child has successfully passed the interview stage.

As part of the application process, the pupils most recent full school report will have to be submitted with the application (This must-have reference to his behaviour and also his academic levels).

If the pupil’s application is accepted, but there is no place in the Darul Uloom at that specific time then the parents will be offered a place on the waiting list and will be notified as soon as a place becomes available.

There are a number of policies in place to ensure that the Darul Uloom runs efficiently including these can be found on the ‘Policies’ section of the website. Hard copies are also available upon request from the school office.

Admission Process Timeline

  • Parents who are interested in sending their children are requested to complete the online application form.
  • Forms received after June 30 will be considered for the following academic year.
  • Parents will receive an email from the admissions team by 10th January inviting themselves and their child to an interview (Please keep an eye on your inbox and junk/spam mail)
  • If you do not receive the email invite, please contact [email protected] or call the school office and request to speak with Moulana Ibrahim (admission manager)
  • On the day of the interview, parents and students will be given a tour of the school.
  • You will receive a response to the application status within 5 weeks (term time) from the day of the interview
  • The third week of July – A meeting (Online) will be conducted with all the children offered a place
  • The fourth week of July – A letter providing the start date and enrollment information will be sent out to parents

  • The second week of September – New student’s intake

Over 16 applications (Year 12 and above)

Over 16 applications may be made at any stage. A request for a written reference, together with predicted GCSE or IGCSE grades is made from the applicant’s present/previous school.

Criteria for admission

Darul Uloom London welcomes applications from pupils of all abilities, including those with very mild learning difficulties. The School has facilities for disabled pupils and will do all that is reasonable to comply with its legal and moral responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001, and the Equality Act 2010.

Darul Uloom London is a popular, over-subscribed school. If all other factors are equal, when offering places, we take into account the order of registration.
