How to Apply
Children are eligible to attend Clapham Manor Nursery from the age of 3. No catchment area exists & all applications are welcome.
Applications are available from the school office or you can download the application from the Download section below, complete it and drop it in to the school office. All applications must be submitted to the school office along with the relevant proofs of identity.
Once you have submitted an application we will invite you to the school to meet us and look around the nursery school if you haven't already. Nursery Admissions Criteria
The school will allocate places to meet the preferences of as many families as possible using the standard admissions criteria as applied by London Borough of Lambeth for school admissions. We ask parents/carers to indicate a ‘second preference’ on the Nursery Application Form in case we are unable to meet your first preference. Parents/carers will be informed of their offer as soon as possible.
We operate a waiting list for applicants to whom we have not been able to offer a place.
Please note that demand for places (particularly morning places) is high and places are allocated according to the same criteria as the main school.
Please note that there is no automatic transfer from Clapham Manor Nursery into Clapham Manor Primary School Reception class. Children attending our Nursery must still apply to Lambeth for a Reception place.
If your child has been refused admission to Clapham Manor Primary School or to another community or voluntary-controlled school of your choice, you have a legal right to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeals Panel.
For further information about the appeals process for Lambeth Schools please contact the Clerk to the Independent Appeals Panel (Democratic Services)
