School Visit/Tours
All prospective parents are usually encouraged to visit the school during the day.
Families of children eligible for Reception/ Nursery are welcome to book a tour. Tours are available by appointment only, please call the school office on 0208 255 6199 to book.
Nursery
Applying for a place for your child to join Nursery at Culvers House Primary School.
We offer: 15 Hours Universal Free Education :3 Hours a day over 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) term time only.
Our Nursery also has a Wraparound service available for 8 pupils every day (4 morning & 4 afternoon). This means that parents are able to pay for their child to attend the Nursery from 8.45a.m – 3.30 p.m every day the Nursery is open. The current fee is £15 per session/day. Please contact school office for more details.
Children will be eligible for consideration for entry to Nursery from the term following their third birthday.
Whilst we accept Spring and Summer Term applications, many nurseries will fill up in the Autumn term. Therefore, if your child is eligible to start nursery in the Spring term or Summer term, there will be no guarantee that places will be available. Your child may have to wait until the Autumn term to be considered for a vacancy.
Applications for nursery places here at Culvers House Primary School must be made directly to the school. Please email the school at admissions@culvershouse.sutton.sch.uk to request a link to ‘Apply for a Nursery place’ - remember to include in your email your child’s name and date of birth.
Please Note: For all applications we do require your child’s birth certificate and proof of your address (e.g council tax certificate or tenancy agreement).
Reception
Applying for a place for your child to join Reception at Culvers House Primary School.
Children will be eligible for consideration for entry to Reception in the September after their fourth birthday.
There are 2 Reception classes with 30 children in each class. All children need to apply for a Reception place regardless of previous pre-school education. The offer of a Nursery place is not a guarantee of a place into Reception, as a child who has not attended the Nursery classes can apply directly for the Reception classes in the September following their fourth birthday.

Mid-term/ In-Year Transfer
If you are new to the area, changing schools in-year or without a school and would like to join our school, please contact your current school for an In-Year transfer form. Once your form is complete, please forward it to the London Borough of Sutton School Admissions Team.

Once your application is received your child will be added to the waiting list and you will be contacted if/when a place becomes available. It will be offered to the child who is at the top of the waiting list which is determined in accordance with the criteria for admissions set by Sutton Local Authority.
If the school is oversubscribed, priority will be given to children fulfilling the following criteria in the order listed.
