Begin The Application
We are still accepting applications for the current school year. You can apply online using the Standard Application Online. To begin the online application process, please visit the Standard Application Online homepage to create a new account. Here, you will be allowed to create and submit your application and check the status of your materials.

**Applicants from Fairfax County Public Schools only. All others, please submit recommendations online via the SAO or Gateway application.
Standardized Testing
Standardized testing is required for admission to Madeira. We accept SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, or SAT scores. Registration for the SSAT or the ISEE must be done in advance, and scores must be sent to Madeira directly from the testing agency:
For the PSAT or SAT, we accept a copy of the parent or guidance counselor score report.

Language Testing For International Students
Students who do not speak English as a first language should submit TOEFL scores in addition to the required SSAT/ISEE/PSAT/SAT scores. Please visit our International Student Admission page for more information.
Madeira accepts the SSAT Standard Application Online and the shared recommendation forms published by AISGW. If you have questions about other shared application forms, please contact the Admissions Office.
Every year, Madeira welcomes students from all around the world to our campus. Below is information and requirement specifically for international applicants.

Qualified students from China will be invited to interview once their application (including Vericant) is complete. We will schedule a Skype, Zoom, or telephone interview. For more information, please visit our Chinese Students page.
Applications and all supporting documents must be received or postmarked by January 15. Applications received after January 15 will be considered on a space-available basis. A non-refundable application fee of $125 for international students is required. If an application is submitted electronically via fax, the application fee should be mailed within 48 hours after submission. In addition, application fees may be wired to the School.
