How to join Joy to the World

If you are interested in joining our school, please follow these five steps.

• Visit our school either privately or at a joint session.
• Turn in a completed application.
• We will evaluate your application, and may ask for a student assesment.
• Pay all intial fees and tuition
• After all the steps are complete, you will be a member.

During the interview we will provide all information about our school principles and system. We are happy to answer all of your questions. We would like to request you to come to the interview without your children so that we can conduct the interview effectively. If it is difficult for you to leave your children at home, please make sure to contact us in advance.

Special Concerns 

Mid-Year Start

If you are starting from the 2nd Term or later, you will be asked to sign up for the following school year and, in most cases, may be asked for full payment in order to secure the seat.

Elementary School Entrance Exception

For K3 students who will be graduate and continue in international education, we will provide you with consultation so that you do not incur unnecessary cancellation fees etc. while waiting for acceptance letters from elementary school. Please make an appointment if that becomes necessary.

Schedule Changes (Joy Tots and Pre-Kindergarten)

Each year we get many requests to change after the sign-up period. In order to make a change, there is a ¥2000 administrative fee that is made at the time of the request and does not guarantee that the change is possible. In addition, instead of re-calculating the fee difference of the new schedule, we will instead add the new schedule. For example, if you signed up for a 2-day program, and ask to increase to a 5-day program, we will issue an invoice for a 3-day program.

If you want to add 1 day, we will calculate 50% of a 2 day program.
