Academy of the Sacred Heart seeks highly motivated applicants who are academically prepared and whose talents and intellectual curiosity will enable them to take advantage of the challenging curriculum and rich resources the school offers. The Admissions Committee seeks students whose respect for differences and compassion for others will lead them to make positive contributions to the school community.

The admissions process is designed to provide the best possible opportunity for a family to understand Sacred Heart’s mission embodied in the Goals & Criteria. At the same time, through the school’s commitment to understand each applicant’s educational background and interests, each can be satisfied that the right match has been made for a student’s successful education.

Prospective students and families are encouraged to attend one of Sacred Heart’s Wednesday Walkabouts, held each Wednesday, 9-11:00am, in October. Wednesday Walkabouts give a casual look into the daily life of the Sacred Heart community and offer parents the opportunity to see students and teachers in the academic setting.

Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau is accredited by the Louisiana State Department of Education, AdvancED, and the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, and other professional associations.
