Garrison Forest is more than a school: we are a foundation, an opportunity, a community. Whether you are looking for your child’s first school experience and exploring possibilities in our preschool for your little one, or you seek an environment that will nurture and challenge your daughter to engage with new people, ideas, and experiences before she heads off to college, we have something to offer you.
Learning is personal. At GFS, our students are known as individuals, valued, and supported by their teachers, coaches, mentors, and peers. This personalized attention and support begins with our admission process. Our application process, albeit virtual this fall, seeks to connect you and your child with the people at Garrison Forest that will know, value, support, and engage her during her time here. Please spend time on our website exploring our virtual experiences, watching videos, and reading student stories to get an authentic perspective of the Forest. Our team in the Admission Office can’t wait to get to know your son or daughter and see how a Garrison Forest education can propel their learning and development forward.
Finding the right school for your child can be overwhelming. There are a plethora of choices, yet, when you find the right fit for your child, her growth is exponential. We are here to help you find a fit and explore your child’s potential. Please reach out to anyone on our Admission Team and we will work with your family to show you what is so special about a Garrison Forest education for your child right now and for their future.
How to Start
To begin your application, go to Ravenna and create an account. Make sure to create your account using an email address you will have access to throughout the admission season as this will be your primary email contact with our school.
Support or Help
If at any point you should have a question about Ravenna and your application, please contact them at [email protected]. Ravenna is happy to answer your inquiry by phone, however, they require that all support inquiries are initiated through the email address you used to create your Ravenna account. It is important that they are able to validate your access to any information about your applicant’s account to protect your privacy.
When to Visit Campus
We invite you to join us for an in-person tour of campus and our facilities in the afternoon from January 4-8 and the upcoming Saturdays in January. Open to applicants only and registration is required. You can register for your personalized tour in your Ravenna account. Masks are required while on campus and a COVID visitor protocol will be sent in advance. A limit of 5 people per family will be allowed at a time and tours will last 30 minutes. Please reach out to the Admission Office if you have any questions. We look forward to welcoming you to campus! Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we seek to keep you, our team, and our community as safe as possible during this time!
If you are unable to make it to campus, families are also welcome to schedule a personalized GFS Campus zoom tour! Tours are Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. If you do not see a time that fits your family's schedule please give the Admission Office a call.
