The Geelong College

Thank you for considering The Geelong College for your child's education. Our Admissions team are currently working off site and offering all stages of the enrolment process remotely using online applications, video interviews, phone calls and emails. We look forward to being able to welcome families for a tour of the school later in the year.

Application for enrolment process

We recommend applying for enrolment at least 3 years prior to the year in which you wish the student to enter the school. We also recommend enrolling any siblings at the same time.

Step 1: Fill in our online enrolment application form

You will need the following:

• An electronic copy of the students’ birth certificate
• An electronic copy of visa (if applicable)
• Visa/Mastercard for payment - required for the $500 enrolment application fee (this fee is non-refundable)

Please note that applications will be processed two years to 18 months prior to the year in which the student is to be enrolled in the following order:

• Siblings of a current or past student*
• Children or grandchildren of an Old Collegian*
• Children who were previously enrolled at the College*
• All other applications in order of date of registration

*Should enrolments be received less than 18 months prior to the year in which the student is to be enrolled these applications will be processed in order of date of registration.

Step 2: Receipt of Application for Enrolment and Enrolment Application Fee payment

You will receive an automated receipt of your application. Please note this is an acknowledgment of your application, not an offer of a place.

Step 3: Assessment of Application

The Admissions team assesses all applications. Two years to 18 months prior to the enrolment year families will be contacted to request the following:

• The student’s most recent end of semester report
• The student’s most recent NAPLAN results

Step 4: Enrolment Interview

Our Admissions office will contact you prior to your child's commencement year to arrange for an enrolment interview and ask you to complete our Admissions Form. If your circumstances or contact details change during this time, please inform our Admissions Office.

Step 5: Offer of a Place

If the student’s application is successful, the College will forward a Letter of Offer to the family.

Step 6: Accepting the Offer

To accept the offer of place at The Geelong College, the following must be submitted to the school

• Acceptance of Offer signed by both parents
• Payment of the $2,500 Admission Fee (non-refundable)

Step 7: Commencement planning

Your child's Orientation Morning and transition activities will be arranged before you commence.
