Early Learning

Admission Fee

Prior to entering Early Learning, a non-refundable Fee of $2,500 is compulsory and payable upon acceptance of a place in Early Learning. This fee will ensure a place for your child through the Early Learning years and also ensure a prioritised place into Prep. $2,000 will be credited back to the first term’s school fees when your child commences Prep. Please understand that the Admission Fee is not refundable should you decide that your child will not be continuing on to Prep at The Geelong College. However, your priority enrolment status will not be removed if you wish to enrol your child at a later stage in the school.

Rendering Of Accounts

Fee statements will be issued four times a year (three times a year for Year 12) and are due and payable at the commencement of each term. Fees not paid by the specified date will incur an administration fee which is currently $150 per account. Each statement will also include sundry charges such as music fees, special bookroom items and materials for art and woodwork. A term’s notice in writing must be given to the Principal, or half a term’s tuition and/or boarding fee is payable before a student leaves the College. Parents may elect to pay tuition fees and boarding fees in regular agreed instalments. Contact the Finance Department on 5226 3103 to confirm this arrangement.

Building Levy

A $100 compulsory building levy will be added to each family’s fee statement per term. This fee will assist with the College building renewal program and refurbishments.

Laptops supplied by the College, as part of the student laptop program, are included in the nominated tuition fee.

Fee Insurance Scheme

The school requires fee insurance cover for students attending the College. This covers both capital payments on accidents 24 hours, seven days a week and pro-rata rebate of tuition and/or boarding fees for absence of 15 consecutive days missed by the student due to illness, accident or contact with infection outside the school. The pro-rata rebate of tuition and/or boarding fees is capped at two terms.

The cost associated with this insurance is $9 per term for day students and $18 per term for boarding students. This will be billed directly to the fee account. Further information can be obtained from the Finance Department in Davey House and on the Parent Portal.

Other

Uniform, Books and Stationery are additional items of cost for parents, with the exact amount of each dependant upon the age and stage of the student. Most trips will also attract a cost to parents, but this will be notified at the time of planning of these ventures.
