Admissions

Mill Hill International offers co-educational day, weekly boarding and full boarding places.

Whilst focusing on academic development, we make sure that each pupil can exploit their talents so that their stay is both enriching and rewarding. Pupils come to Mill Hill International from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, but they all share our commitment to study, a strong sense of purpose, and high expectations, creating a dynamic learning environment where every pupil can achieve.

The available entry points are

  • Year 9 – Pre-GCSE course (13+)
  • Year 10 – Two-Year GCSE course (14+)
  • Year 11 – One-Year GCSE/Pre-A Level course (15+)

Documents required

Once availability/eligibility is confirmed, please provide

  • Two latest school reports (translated into English)
  • Passport copy
  • We may also require a contact at your current school to obtain a pastoral reference

Once the above information and registration are processed, one of our team will then make contact to arrange the entrance assessments.

Entrance Assessments

  • Online Oxford Placement Test (OPT) testing Use of English and Listening skills (for non-native speakers of English)
  • Written English assignment(s)
  • CAT 4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) – an assessment that is designed to understand what students’ academic potential might be. Tasks involve non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, quantitative and spatial abilities.

(Please note, there are no sample/practice tests recommended) Successful candidates are then put forward for interview.

Interview

Interview with the Head of Mill Hill International (remote or in-person).

Register Your child

  • Please complete the form below, clearly indicating the year of entry for which your child is being considered.
  • Please enter details for anyone with parental responsibility for the child.
  • Pay the non-refundable registration fee of £200 per child through the online payment portal Flywire to ensure that your child is registered. Click here to access Flywire.

Open Event Registration

Open Morning

Open Mornings are a great opportunity to look around our school in person, hear from the Head and ask any questions you may have about the school.

Our next Open Morning will take place in the Spring Term. Information on how to book will be added to this page shortly.

Acceptance

An offer is made subject to satisfactory performance in entrance tests and interview.

To accept the offer, the Acceptance Form must be completed and signed by the pupils’ parent(s) and an Acceptance Deposit of £2,000 must be paid. If the pupil is staying for a full academic year or longer, a further Additional Term’s Deposit needs to be made.

A CAS is issued to full boarding pupils requiring a (child) Student Visa.

Before the pupil enrols in September, further forms need to be completed:

  • Day Visits Parental Consent Form
  • Individual Music Lessons Request Form (optional)

For pupils commencing the One-Year GCSE or Two-Year GCSE course

  • GCSE Option Form

For boarders

  • Guardianship Agreement Form
  • Off Site Visits Parental Consent Form
