Starting your application to The Global College is a potentially life-changing step: congratulations on taking it.
The admissions process for the academic year is now open and we invite motivated candidates from around the world to apply to the College as day or boarding students.
The ordinary admissions process for day students will be open until the 31st of January. Applications submitted after this date will only be considered if there are spaces available. Applications to boarding are rolling, provided there are places available.
Our process is designed to ensure that candidates are well prepared and motivated for a demanding and transformational Baccalaureate program and it consists of 3 simple steps:
ONLINE APPLICATION
Candidates are asked to submit their school reports from their previous and current academic year, a brief essay and a short video presenting themselves. The application can be completed in several days; with your personal registration code you will be able to access it as many times as you need. The information can be updated until you pay the application fee and you click submit. Payment of the fee does not guarantee final admission to the College.
ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE RESOLUTION
Our goal is to identify young persons with potential, reflecting not only on their academic achievements, but also on their capacity of initiative and their interest in other extracurricular endeavors. Day applicants will be notified of admission decisions in February. We will strive to notify boarding applicants within one month of a completed application.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
Our goal is that each student with potential, capacity and talent can access the best education regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances. To that purpose, The Global College offers an program of scholarships based on merit and also means-tested grants. Applying for scholarships or financial aid does not have any effect over the admissions process, that is carried independently and only takes into account the merits and personal qualities of the student.
We do not want endless documentation; we want to get to know our students. Our process is a chance to get to know them through their teachers, their work and their interviews with us. Once they join, it is then our job to offer the very best learning experience to the students able to commit to the demanding IB Diploma Programme and enjoy this diverse, global learning journey.
Through this enrollment process, we would like to identify the best applications, taking into consideration not only the grades but also communication and intercultural abilities, extracurricular achievements and critical thinking skills. We will offer our students a real opportunity to take responsibility for their learning process and we will expect each learner to be or become a motivated and self-driven member of our community.
