School Visit

You are most welcome to visit the school and have an informal discussion with or without your child . This can be done by fixing a prior appointment with the Head of Admission & Communication through mail at admission@krschool.org or telephone +918470084900. A meeting can also be arranged with the Principal or any other faculty member that you may wish to see.

Procedure for Registration

An application for registration is the first stage of the admissions process. A registration fee must be sent along with the application so that the student name may be registered for the year and class for which admission is sought. The fee is neither refundable nor adjustable and it is valid only for the specified academic year. Registration of the child is not a guarantee of the admission.

Requirements at The Time of Registration

  • One recent passport size photograph of the child has to be attached.
  • The completed Registration card must be sent along with an attested photocopy of the student's Birth Certificate and the Registration Fee.
  • The Birth Certificate should be issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths of the area in which the child was born. Affidavits, certificates from the hospital, or certificates from any other person are not accepted. The Birth Certificate should not be dated more than one year after the date of birth.

Registration for All Classes

  • All registrations are done for a particular year and for the class requested for by the parent.
  • If a parent wishes to re-register, an additional fee is charged and a fresh registration number issued to the child.
  • However, re-registration of a child who has either not cleared the Assessment or whose Registration has lapsed for any other reason, must be done within a year of the lapse, failing which full registration fees have to be paid again.

Requirements for Class XI Registration

  • A student must necessarily have obtained a minimum average of 80% in all examinations conducted by the school. This includes Half Yearly & Annual Assessment of Class IX and Half Yearly & Pre-board of Class X.
  • Please note that this is a pre requisite to appear for the Aptitude Assessment to be conducted at our school.
  • Those selected will be expected to join school in April after completion of their Board examination.
  • A copy of the Board Mark sheet, Pass certificate, Migration Certificate (if not from CBSE Board) and Transfer Certificate are mandatory documents and will have to be submitted soon after the declaration of the Board result, failing which the admission stands cancelled.
  • Please note that the registration fee is neither transferable nor refundable.

Note: You may register your child any time after the birth till a month before the date of the assessment for the relevant year.

Registration Is Completed On:

  • Submission of a certified copy of the child's original birth certificate
  • Payment of the registration fee.

Application

Parents are requested to be frank and honest in providing information in the admission application form. Adverse information if any, whether scholastic or behavioral, will not be ground for refusal of an admission request. Any such information would, in fact, help the school to create a suitable environment for your child, once admitted. Any wrong information or concealment of information discovered later may lead to cancellation of admission.

Interaction

The interaction is as pleasant and no intimidating as we can make it. It is normally conducted by Head of Admissions, School Director and the Principal. We are interested in knowing about the child's/ student's educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasms and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interaction is to find about what the student knows, understands and enjoys.

While coming for the interaction please bring with you the following

  • Examples of the applicant's school work in the form of exercise books, portfolios etc.
  • Primary applicants (up to Grade 5) should at least one book which they are currently reading inside or outside school.

Primary school candidates are examined by the Primary Head. This is an Interaction and the child may also be asked to perform some simple activities.

Admission seekers for Grades 6 to 9 have an interaction and a written test. Testing is done for Basic English and Mathematics.

For Grade 9, students should also be assessed for Integrated Science (Physics Chemistry and Biology).

Students are only taken into Grade 10 if they are transferring from a similar school and their admission is based on reports from their existing school and an interaction and test.

Admission to Grade 11 is by interaction and written tests in English, Mathematics and Science.

In Grade 12 only transferring Students are admitted.

On being offered admission, parents are requested to pay the one-time Admission Fee and a Refundable Security Deposit within two weeks to secure the admission of the student. Subsequently, the student is issued a unique Student ID number. Parents further need to fill and submit various forms and declarations that would be given along with the admissions acceptance letter.

Documents Required at The Time of Admission

The following documents are required as a part of the Admissions procedure for every student applying for admission:

Original Birth Certificate 

The original birth certificate must be brought to the School at the time of admission. This is returned after verification. Misrepresentation or falsification of date of birth will result in cancellation of admission forthwith.

Transfer Certificate, Character Certificate

A valid Transfer Certificate from the School last attended, issued by the Principal immediately prior to the child joining Kasturi Ram International School as well as a Character Certificate, are essential requirements and must be submitted on the day that the child joins School. In addition, the student is required to present the last Report Card indicating promotion to the next class, as well as proof of attendance for the previous year. Until the Transfer Certificate and other documents are received by KRIS, the child's admission is considered as provisional.

Medical Certificate

All new entrants are required to produce a medical certificate certifying that they are free from any contagious or infectious disease. The parents must give an undertaking in writing to this effect. If the girl is found medically unfit, the admission stands canceled

Photographs

Three recent passport size photographs are required to be submitted by each new student.

Migration Certificate

This is required for admission to Class XI in the case of students from Boards other than the CBSE.
