Lake Farm Park Academy

Lake Farm Park Academy is a brand new, three form entry school that opened in the heart of Hayes in September 2014. We offer a first-class educational experience for our children and families.

The school is situated on the edge of Lake Farm Park Country Park, with 60 acres of green space on our doorstep. Our exciting and stimulating curriculum helps our children to be successful learners and achieve the very best they can.

Lake Farm Park Academy is a very special school where our children are at the heart of all we do. We are a center of high aspirations, which celebrates all levels and genres of achievement. We are a school which promotes optimism and develops self-belief, ambition and challenge across the curriculum, within an inclusive environment.

At Lake Farm we focus on a set of shared values called the LFP Way. These values of showing respect, being a role model, telling the truth and aiming high are important to all children, staff and parents. They are not just important within the school community but will be important throughout life as well. The whole staff team and all pupils are involved in promoting the LFP values and recognizing their positive effects around school.

The school’s ethos and values support parents and families in raising their children who will grow to become responsible adults, ready to meet the demands of a fast-moving world, whilst treasuring the awe, wonder and magic of childhood. We are always open-minded. We see everything as an opportunity and we value our unique, diverse children and families.

We are an inclusive school and we know all our children really well. Every single child matters at Lake Farm Park Academy and we value children for all their different strengths and qualities. Feedback from pupil, staff and parent questionnaires are overwhelmingly positive.

Our curriculum aims to encourage children to develop the skills they need for later life with a very strong focus on the basic skills of English and Math's. We track pupil progress very carefully and make sure everyone knows the next steps for learning. Our curriculum also covers much wider areas of learning and we offer numerous enrichment activities such as clubs and visits. We work very hard at Lake Farm but we also believe that learning should be fun. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and to develop skills which will make them better learners. Sports, music, arts, values education and pupil voice are just as important so our children can access an exciting curriculum. We aim to ensure that our children develop as global citizens so that they are able to seize and shape the world that awaits them.

We embed the confidence to learn from our mistakes and challenge one another and ourselves. Our curriculum is engaging, sequential, ambitious, linked to reading; and promotes a high level of vocabulary through a range of subjects building on our social, moral and cultural responsibilities as learners. We aspire to give children the tools to have a voice, reflect and be honest.
