Located in the heart of Oxford’s city centre, our two accommodation options – St. Ebbe’s and Pensons Gardens – are warm, comfortable spaces within walking distance of our main teaching buildings.
Every student has their own ensuite bedroom, which is comfortable, clean, and contemporary. You’ll enjoy spending time with friends in our shared social spaces, too.
Your Home Away from Home
Living at Oxford Sixth Form College is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For our students, we’re a second home, an extended family, and a place where friendship, laughter, and exciting experiences are available every day. You’ll also receive the perfect blend of personalised support and individual freedom, ensuring you leave us ready for life at university – and beyond.
Boarding at Oxford Sixth Form College, you will:
daily Life for Our Boarders
Whether it’s in the classroom or at the weekend, every day is different for our boarders. What always remains the same, however, is the 24/7 care, support, and guidance every student enjoys.
Starting the day right
Our boarders’ day starts with a healthy breakfast, which they can either make themselves or enjoy together in our catered canteens.
An inspiring stroll
A short walk to our teaching buildings is a great opportunity to take in the gothic architecture, university colleges, and beautiful parks Oxford is renowned for.
Follow your own path
Our classes run between 9:00 am and 5:15 pm. Every student’s day is different, whether it’s experimenting in our labs, creating in our art studios, or studying in focused tutorial groups.
Lunch and learn
Lunchtime is a chance to spend time with friends in one of Oxford’s cosy cafés or – weather permitting! – parks. We offer a range of optional extra-curricular activities, too, including debate club and Student Council.
Senior Tutor check ins
Weekly catch ups with a dedicated Senior Tutor provide the support, guidance, and mentorship each student needs to succeed academically – and flourish as an individual.
Studying and having fun
Back at the boarding house, it’s time for some self-study, revision, or reading. There’s always something fun happening in our shared spaces, too, whether it’s a quiz, board games, or movie night.
From bowling and ice-skating to evenings at the cinema, a variety of social activities connect our students beyond the classroom. Weekends are made for fun, too, whether it’s hopping on the train to London, going for a walk in the countryside, or riding a rollercoaster at Thorpe Park.
You’ll also have the time and freedom to immerse yourself in Oxford's vibrant history and culture. Our compact city is home to world-class museums and galleries, several theatres and music venues, and an outstanding range of cafés, restaurants, and food markets.
