Allowance should be made for living expenses and pocket money during a student’s stay in Oxford. Where accommodation includes breakfast and evening meal, a weekly allowance of around £120 to cover lunches, bus fares and other miscellaneous costs such as toiletries, travel and entertainment is sufficient plus a termly amount of about £120 per subject for books and stationery. If a student is responsible for his or her own catering, an additional £80 per week will cover this adequately.
Individual Tuition
It allows students to focus on topics where they need to develop their understanding and enables a student to benefit from the perspective of a tutor other than their teacher at their school or college.
The informal setting of individual tuition allows the student to express ideas freely and confidently, with the tutor’s undivided attention, and enables the tutor to deal directly with any difficulties that are being experienced. Preparation ahead of individual tuition is essential if a good rate of progress in understanding is to be maintained.
Whatever a student’s level, our tutors’ experience and our commitment to an approach that is centred on each student’s needs means that remarkable improvements can be made, difficulties resolved and confidence boosted significantly.
Small group programmes to prepare students for additional admissions tests.
Preparation for the full range of admissions tests is also offered: UCAT, HAT, MAT, LNAT, ELAT, BMAT and TSA; because of the timing of these tests, tuition is only offered in the first half of the autumn term.
Our experience and our commitment to an approach that is centred on your needs means that difficulties are resolved and confidence boosted significantly.
