A one-time, non-refundable fee that is payable once parents accept an invitation to join KIS. A child’s place at KIS is only assured once this is settled.

Annual Development Fee 39,000

This is a non-refundable Annual Development Fee which is paid when the student starts at KIS and at the start of every subsequent year studying at KIS

OR

School Development Fund 220,000

This is a one-time payment that contributes towards the School Development Fund (SDF). It is an alternative to the payment of the Annual Development Fee. It is refundable to parents within 30 days of withdrawal of a student, net of any outstanding fees.

Grade 11: For students entering Grade 11, the annual tuition will remain fixed for the 2 years of the Diploma programme. The EY1 programme runs from 7:50 hrs. - 12:30 hrs. The EY1 Extended Day programme runs from 7:50 hrs - 14:30 hrs.

After School Activities (Optional) Fees vary depending on activities

After school activities and clubs run from Monday-Friday. Most of the classes are scheduled from 15:00-16:00. The fees vary depending on the type of activities chosen. Primary School sports team coaching is free of charge. Secondary School sports and some non-sports coaching and clubs are available free of charge. Contact the Athletics and Activities department for more information.

* The non-refundable van fee is charged on a termly basis. The service offered is door-to-door and includes both a driver and adult supervisor on each bus route. Bus service not guaranteed until signing of formal bus terms and conditions.

Payment Schedule

Parents have the choice of paying each term or annually. Tuition and fees for current students are due and payable before the beginning of each term. Tuition and fees for Term 1 starting August are due on 24 July with a security deposit due on 2 June. Tuition and fees for Term 2 starting January are due on 1 December. Tuition and fees for Term 3 starting April are due on 18 March.

All fees for new students are due at the time of enrollment within 2 weeks of acceptance of a place. Students may not start school until full payment has been made. Registration for the academic year completed within March will be charged in 2 installments. The first installment will be the payment of the registration fee and the development fund/fee. The second installment, invoiced in May, will be the tuition fee and other fees.

Inclusions and Exclusions

  • EY1 to Grade 10 tuition fees include all materials, workbooks, textbooks, most class field trips, and AISAA coaching and
  • Tuition fees for Grade 11 and Grade 12 cover the cost of IB Exam fees but do not include textbooks or fees for changing subjects past any stated course/programme change deadlines. Grade 11 students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks for the subjects they are enrolled in. The cost for new textbooks ranges from approximately 20,000 to 45,000 Baht per student. Additional expenses may be incurred for certain courses, such as Environmental Systems and Societies, which may require fees for overnight field If a student opts to take online DP courses, the fees for these courses must be paid for by their parents.

Student Group Accidental Insurance

KIS provides Student Group Accidental Insurance Policy that applies to activities authorized by and under the supervision of school authorities during the school year. Activities also include school official one-day expeditions, AISAA games/tournaments and military reserve training. The accidental coverage is 65,000 baht for medical treatment per one accident and 150,000 baht for loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight or permanent disability.

The school’s liability and insurance coverage are limited to the above sum. Whilst the school considers this level of cover reasonable and acceptable, it is highly recommended that each student also has his/her own medical policy appropriate to their circumstances. The details of Student Group Accidental Insurance Agreement can be obtained from the School Services department.

Overdue Payments

Overdue payments incur a late penalty of 1.25% per month, due dates are listed on the invoice. In case of overdue payments, the school reserves the right to withhold school documents and transcripts and to take legal action. In addition, the student will not automatically be re-enrolled in the new term.

Late Enrollment

The half-term rate will be applied to tuition / meals / EAL / 3rd language / van fee for admissions starting from the following dates: Term 1: 16 October / Term 2: 26 February / Term 3: 20 May

Refunds

All fees (tuition and other) must be paid before students can start in a new term, regardless of whether a student completes /will complete the term. If a student leaves during the term (early withdrawal) before the financial mid-term point, 50% of the paid tuition fee will be refunded only if the school is informed in writing at least 15 days in advance and provided withdrawal takes place by the mid-term point date. Any outstanding fees remain to be paid. The mid-term point date for Term 1 is 6 October, Term 2 is 23 February, and Term 3 is 17 May. The refund applies to tuition fee only, other fees will not be refunded. No refund will be made if the student resigns after the mid-term point date. Tuition fee and other fees which have been paid for full academic year will be refunded for unused, full terms only, provided 15 days advance notice of withdrawal is given in writing to the school.

Re-enrolment

All families are requested to inform the school of their intention to return next academic year by May 5. A re-enrolment form will be sent to you by the admissions office and a security deposit will be required to ensure the student’s place for the next year. Families who have chosen to pay the Development Fund will have the option to use the Development Fund as "collateral" towards the re-enrolment security deposit under an annual agreement, signed and certified by parents. Families who have chosen to pay the annual development fee are required to pay a re-enrolment security deposit of 40,000 Baht which will then be deducted from the amount to be paid for the tuition fee of the 1st term. The re-enrolment security deposit must be paid by 2 June for students returning in Term 1.
