Since our inception in 1914, The Hun School has been committed to making educational opportunities available to students without regard to the financial resources of their families. Our admission process is need-blind, meaning students are admitted based on their ability and character, without consideration of their family's financial need. Once the admission process is complete, we review financial aid requests and offer packages to students with a demonstrated need. Having said that, it's OK to have a candid conversation about affording tuition with your admission counselor at any point in the process.

Financial Aid Process

The Hun School grants financial assistance in accordance with the principles established by the National Association of Independent Schools and as administered by Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) or School & Student Services by NAIS (SSS). Please note, financial aid decisions are made by The Hun School's Financial Aid Committee and based upon the analysis provided by TADS or SSS.

  • Because financial circumstances can change, families must apply for aid annually.
  • Applications for financial aid should be submitted to TADS by Jan. 31st.
  • Financial aid decisions will be included with the March 10th letters of acceptance.

Any questions about financial aid or the process of applying for aid may be directed to the Financial Aid Office
