Application fee

In order for your Application Forms to be processed, the School must receive your payment of 25,000 yen for the application fees. Application fees cover paperwork processing, interview and assessment. There is no discount for families making more than one application.

Please pay the application fee in cash at the school office or by bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer, please make a transfer under your child's name and include a copy of the bank transfer slip confirming the application fee payment together with the application documents.

For transfers from overseas, please ensure the currency is in Japanese yen and amounts to exactly ¥25,000 after handling costs are deducted. All transfer fees incurred for both the sending and receiving bank are the responsibility of the applicant and must be covered at the time of payment.

ESL and Learning Support Fees

  • Pull-out service fee: 1 session*/week: 3,500 yen
  • In-class support (push-in) fees: 1 session*/week: 2,500 yen
  • ​*Note: one session is 45 min

Other Fees

Technology

Students in Grades 3-5 are required to have an iPad. Students in Grades 6-8 are required to have a MacBook.

Bus fees

UST offers four bus routes that cover several wards in central Tokyo. ​

  • Annual Round trip: 300,000 yen
  • Annual One way trip: 200,000 ​yen

School Trip Fees

All UST students attend several field trips each academic year. Starting from G3, students also participate in overnight trips. The cost of school trips varies and depends on the duration and destination. The cost of all
curricular and co-curricular trips is the responsibility of families. Here are some examples:

  • K1-G8 field trips: 500 yen on average (vary by destination)
  • G3-G8 Ski Trip: 40,000 - 60,000 yen (vary by package)
  • G6-G8 Residential Trip: 60,000 - 80,000 yen (vary by destination)

Extra-Curricular Activity Fees

The fees for extra-curricular activities vary by class. Please inquire with the School Office.
