Financial Aid is available to a wide range of families. We highly encourage families who think they may need some assistance to families who think they would need full assistance to apply for financial aid. WMS works with School and Student Services by NAIS to help determine a family's need. SSS by NAIS makes a recommended family contribution, which we use as a guide when awarding individual financial aid packages. The School and Student Service professionals are highly accessible to support you through any of their web site functions. We are always happy to speak to families about the affordability of WMS and how we serve our families. Please reach out to Peter Wickman, Director of Admission and Financial Aid (peter.wickman@whitemountain.org) with any questions.
Families may apply for financial aid for the current academic year starting Nov. 1st of current year.
By January 31: Submit the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) on School and Student Services by NAIS. You will be asked to create an account, include our school code (8194) and submit a processing fee ($35 for online submissions, $47 for submissions by mail). To be considered in first-round application decisions (i.e. a decision by March 10), SSS by NAIS must receive the PFS no later than January 31. We recommend utilizing the online option in order to reduce SSS processing time.
By March 1: Through SSS by NAIS, submit a signed copy of your 1040 federal tax return form and associated schedules, W-2 forms, and the SSS Business and Farm Schedule, if applicable. (You will be able to track the receipt of documents and monitor your application progress.) To ensure a response in the first-round application decision, submit these forms no later than March 1. Please do not mail tax documents to WMS.
The financial aid amount awarded to an admitted student will be indicated on the contract that accompanies the acceptance letter. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Peter Wickman, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, at 603.444.2928 x248 or peter.wickman@whitemountain.org.
