  • Exchange Rate Policy: wire transfers, money orders, cheques or cash received by Bond International College/Bond Academy in other currencies is converted into CAD at the current bank exchange rate on the day the money is received.
  • A Letter of Acceptance is only issued after the full payment is received (please refer to the Conditional Offer Letter).
  • Once the student has been granted a Study Permit, the student is expected to arrive at the first available admission date. If there is any change, please contact the Admissions Office.
  • Medical Insurance is required for all students while studying at Bond. While the school is not the insurer, the school has arranged an insurance provider to insure the students studying at Bond in Canada. Bond students are required to buy the Canadian insurance recommended by Bond. It will take approximately 2 days for the insurance coverage to be effective after the submission of the insurance application. Students are recommended to buy medical insurance to cover the period from the arrival date to the effective date.
  • Tuition: Kindergarten and Elementary School tuition covers one academic year (September to June). High school tuition covers eight (8) credits.
  • Activity Fee covers new students’ orientation activities and some extracurricular activities, Parent Council, school yearbook, prom, graduation photo album, graduation gown rental, etc.
  • Uniform: Boys (two shirts, two pairs of trousers, one sweater and one necktie); Girls (two shirts, one pair of trousers, one kilt, one sweater and one necktie).
  • The IELTS Program is optional and exclusively offered to Bond students who have registered for eight credit courses. Students must have acquired ESLDO level or greater in order to register for the program. After the payment of $600 is made and the program has begun, and if the student maintains a minimum attendance rate of 80%, he/she is permitted to continue taking the program free of charge until graduation or obtaining a satisfactory IELTS score, whichever comes first. For non-Bond students, the IELTS program fee is $ 1,600 (90 hours in total).
  • After the first minimum period of accommodation ends, students can extend their accommodation at the original costs for at least three months.
  • Custodianship Legal Fee is a one-time fee to arrange custodianship in Canada for residence and homestay students.
  • Custodianship Fee is a monthly fee paid to the custodian until the student reaches the age of 18 or the parent(s) arranges another custodian, at which point, proof of alternative custodianship is required. Custodianship arranged through the school ceases when the student is no longer attending Bond, or no longer living in Bond Residence/homestay, or reaches the legal age.
  • Custodian Deposit.
    • When the student turns 18, custodianship automatically terminates and the custodian deposit will be refunded.
    • If the student submits a new custodianship document on or before the day he/she leaves, the custodian deposit will be refunded.
    • If a student under 18 moves out of the Residence without submitting a new custodianship document to the school, the student will be suspended from school and the custodian deposit will be deducted at $50 per day until the required custodianship document is submitted to the school. Any remaining deposit will then be refunded.
  • Accommodation Deposit is the deposit required for students applying for the Residence/homestay. It is refundable upon the receipt of an advance notice of 30 days in writing before students’ moving out of the Residence/homestay; their return of room cards, meal cards, etc; no damage to, or loss of, Residence/homestay property; and no outstanding fees.
  • Refund Policy: The school will accept refund requests only if the Study Permit application is denied by the Canadian Immigration Authorities. After deducting the Application Fee, the Custodianship Legal Fee (if any), and an $800 administrative processing fee, the school refunds other paid fees. For refund, students must submit the following documents:
    • Original letter of rejection from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate.
    • Original letter from the student/parent of the student requesting the refund. A letter from an agent or other representative without the original letter from the student/parent is not acceptable.
    • Original Letter of Acceptance and Official Receipt from Bond.
