Credit Policy

St Brendan’s, as an Edmund Rice Education Australia School, is committed to providing quality Catholic education and care for all our students. The E.R.E.A. have always made every effort to educate young people regardless of financial background. At the same time, the College must operate in a business-like manner. Hence the need for this credit policy.

Issuing of accounts

School fee statements are issued on four occasions throughout the school year. Each of the four terms are deemed to be equal in length. A fifth account is issued close to the end of the year for incidental items incurred during the year.

Payment of fees

All school fees are due to be paid in full on the first day of each term. However, parents may wish to enter into a regular alternative payment arrangement. Please contact the Accounts Receivable Officer to arrange payment to cover fees by either direct debit, credit card or payroll deduction.

Action on overdue accounts

The Business Manager will draw to the attention of the Principal all delinquent accounts, together with a recommended course of action. One such action could be the authorisation of formal recovery action. All costs associated with recovery action will be passed onto the parents or guardians.

N.B. Participation in excursions, ski trips or sporting tours is not allowed if an account has been declared delinquent, or if payment is not received prior to travel, unless specific approval is granted by the Principal.

Refund Policy

The College will not refund any fee should the student fail to complete the term.

When circumstances outside the control of parents, not including disciplinary measures, cause a student to leave the College mid-term, application may be made through the Business Manager to the Principal for a pro-rata refund. In this event the Principal’s decision will be final.
