What is the registration fee?
This is a non-refundable fee that is payable with an initial application.
What is the acceptance fee?
There is an overseas non-refundable acceptance fee of £500 which will be deducted from your deposit should the client no longer be able to proceed with the place for whatever reason.
What is the deposit?
A refundable deposit must be paid after a formal offer letter has been sent to your client’s parents, in order to secure her place. The deposit required is as per the table to the right. The deposit will be returned when your client leaves Prior’s Field and is not deductable from the final term’s fees. A final invoice will be issued refunding the deposit, less any extra charges your client may have incurred in the final term.
All boarding fees are due on or before the first day of term. Please ask your client’s parents to give their daughter’s name as the reference and ensure that they cover the cost of bank charges.
Clubs and Activities
Most clubs and activities are included in the boarding fee. Riding, tennis, individual music tuition and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) lessons incur an extra charge though. Details of these charges are included in the school’s General & Extra Subject Fees Sheet.
All boarding fees are due on or before the first day of term. Please ask your client’s parents to give their daughter’s name as the reference and ensure that they cover the cost of bank charges. Boarders are required to participate in at least one activity every weekend to encourage a healthy work-life balance. These activities range from trips to London and the South Coast, swimming and ice-skating to cinema and theatre outings.
Additional Costs
During your client’s time at Prior’s Field, she is also likely to incur one or more of the following costs:
Girls have individual study bedrooms in a purpose-built sixth form house. Some of the rooms are en-suite. Other facilities include a cafe, large common room with flat-screen television, piano, stereo, karaoke machine, table-football, laundry and dedicated kitchen.

Armed Forces and FCO Discount – Pupils who have a parent serving in the armed forces are eligible for a 20% discount on the boarding fees only. Serving personnel should be aware that they can apply for the MOD continuing education allowance under certain criteria. Parents serving in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are eligible for a 20% discount on boarding fees only provided that they are receiving the FCO education allowance.
Old Girls – A 10% reduction on day fees only is offered to the daughter of an old girl.
Siblings – A 10% reduction in day fees only is offered to the elder daughter, whilst at least three siblings are at Prior’s Field at the same time.
Applicants under any of the above routes must meet normal entry requirements and applications should be made through the usual route.
