School fees payment

Please note that NIC reserves the right to revise fee levels each year based on external factors including the inflation rate, improvements in educational conditions and the current economic situation

Other expenses

• Bridging Programme participation fee: JPY 800,000 includes accommodation, tuition, meals, use of facilities, off-campus activities and other related costs. The same fee applies to late participants.
• Uniforms, study materials, CAS, medical examinations, group insurance, student projects and extracurricular activities will incur additional costs.
• Japanese National Health Insurance: JPY 13,900 per year. First-time residents in Japan under a student Visa will be automatically enrolled into the programme.
• An Apple laptop computer is loaned to all new students on enrolment and is transferred free of charge on completion of the three-year education course and graduation.

Scholarship Guidelines

Scholarships are awarded to students for outstanding performance in the entrance examination process and post-entry examinations.

Academic Scholarship

• Eligibility:
  • Applicant receiving a high evaluation in the entrance examination
  • Must apply within the applications time frame. Applicants enrolling from a grade 11 point of entry are not eligible.
  • Income: the household budget supporter (parent/guardian) shall not be earning an employment income in excess of JPY 8,410,000. If non-employed, incomes should not be in excess of JPY 3,550,000 annually. (A yearly tax statement must be submitted upon application)
• Conditions: Tuition fee reduction: (a) 90% (b) 60% (c) 30%. Scholarship is ongoing provided the student finishes within the top 20% of the year level in the end-of-year results
• Number: Maximum of 5 students per year
• Housing Scholarship
  • Eligibility: Students receiving the highest grade point average of the year level in the end-of-year results
  • Conditions: Dormitory fee reduced by 30,000 yen per month for a continuous twelve-month period to the value of 360,000 yen
  • Number: Maximum of 5 students a year
• Affiliation Scholarship
  • Eligibility: Students continuing from the affiliated middle school, Nagoya International Junior and Senior High School (NIHS) and the children or grandchildren of NUCB graduates
  • Conditions: 50% admission fee waiver
• Sibling Discount on Tuition Fees
  • Eligibility: Siblings of current or former students of the School.
  • Conditions: 10% tuition fee waiver.

All students must pay the total full fees up front by the relevant aforementioned deadlines. Upon confirmation of a scholarship, NIC will then reimburse the scholarship amount provided.
