GEMS Modern Academy

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) works with the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) to produce performance reports on schools in Dubai. School inspections are held annually to support the quality of education and consistently improve students’ wellbeing in the Emirate.

Each school is rated according to students’ achievements, effectiveness of the school, environment for learning, processes for self-evaluation, capacity for improvement, students’ progress in Islamic Education, and students’ progress in Arabic, English, mathematics and science.

How does KHDA rate schools in Dubai?

• Outstanding – exceptionally high quality of performance or practice
• Very Good – the quality of performance exceeds expectations
• Good – the expected level ofquality for every school in Dubai
• Acceptable – the minimum level of acceptability required for schools in Dubai
• Unsatisfactory – the quality is not yet at the level acceptable for schools in Dubai
