The Malacca Expatriate School (MES) is a fully registered, international school in Melaka. Established in 1980, MES provides a British, co-educational, International Curriculum to the expatriate and local community in Melaka.

Malacca Expatriate School is a co-educational, international school. Established in 1980, MES provides a British International Curriculum to the expatriate and local community in Melaka, Malaysia. The academic year runs from the beginning of September until the end of July.
MES is a Cambridge International Examinations Centre and follows the Cambridge curriculum at both primary and secondary level. Each student’s performance is assessed by end of term tests internally and by Cambridge Checkpoint Assessment at the end of Year 6 and the end of Year 9 as external assessment. In Year 10, students begin a two year course of study leading to International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE) assessment at the end of Year 11.
Students who obtain IGCSE qualifications are well prepared for further academic studies in Malaysia or internationally. They may progress to study AS and A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma leading to higher education at university. They are also equipped with the skills needed for immediate employment.

Both my sons have attended this school from primary upto secondary. The atmosphere is very positive and supportive. The dedication & commitment of the teachers are commendable. There are numeruous facilities within the school to provide a wholesome learning experience, as unconventional as the premises may seem. Sports & extra-curricular activities are occasionally held at different venues. The annual school excursions are something to look forward to. They also have had stage plays & food+ fun fairs. The school canteen provides lunch too, at a reasonable fee. Highly recommended school for the beautiful transformation of young children.

Great school! The teachers are very dedicated to each and every child, resulting in very smart and confident kids. They also take the time in developing the individuality of each child, ensuring that their strengths and talents are recognised. They do so much more than what’s generally expected. Excellent!
