Nestled on a rolling 90-acre campus in the Pennsylvania countryside, Solebury students and faculty pursue learning as an exciting, shared endeavor. This unique approach to education is not happenstance, but a cornerstone of Solebury’s educational philosophy.

At Solebury, the individual is prized. To achieve and sustain a vibrant atmosphere in which students are known as individuals, Solebury remains intentionally small. Our size fosters quality communication among students, teachers, and parents. Solebury students are encouraged to express themselves and to strive for personal excellence, intellectually, artistically, and athletically.

There is a great deal more that enhances and enriches the learning experience of the Solebury community. The physical setting of the campus is an ideal place to spark the imagination and stoke the creativity of all who stride the pathways among the trees or along Primrose Creek, or pause to appreciate the view as the evening fog gathers in the low areas in the fall. This beautiful campus is home to old buildings that date from the mid-18th century, daily reminders of early American history, and new buildings — the Abbe Science Center, Walter Lamb Hall and the Athletic Center and Track and Field — state-of-the-art facilities that complement our teachers in offering students an exceptional educational experience. Other recently completed projects include our new Music Center, the Crib renovation, the Theater renovation and renovations on the Performing Arts Center. The School's Facilities Master Plan is currently being updated, with projects on the horizon, to include continued renovations to the Performing Arts Center, a new Student Center and a new girl's dormitory.

Since our founding in 1925, strong and positive relationships between students and teachers have been central to the Solebury School experience. By disposing of some formalities that traditionally separate students and faculty, we create a culture of mutual respect. At Solebury, learning truly becomes a joint venture. Energized by the close, working relationships they form with teachers, students perform at their highest level in the classroom and the art room, on the stage, and the athletic field. Through this partnership, students learn to take responsibility for their own learning and lives.

We are guided by a profound respect for the individual, as we recognize the need to balance individual freedom with responsibility to the community. Solebury students do not have to fit a mold. All are valued for the talents and traits they bring to the school; all are encouraged to explore their passions and to make the school stronger through their contributions.

Our curriculum features incredible breadth and depth so that students can dive deep in the humanities, in STEM, and in the arts. Whether the goal is to complete a multitude of AP courses, to focus on global studies, or to explore the arts, Solebury’s academic program provides rich opportunities in these areas and many more.

At Solebury School, we believe that learning is all about the student. Our distinctive and dynamic academic program guides students to discover and pursue their passions and inspires them to set and rise to rigorous expectations. Every student is assigned a faculty advisor who serves as mentor, advocate and guide. Advisors help students develop the skills they need to achieve their potential and to be ready for college. Advisors also serve as the point of contact for parents.
