We recognise that selecting the right school learning environment for your child is a very important decision. Whether your son or daughter is entering school for the first time in kindergarten, joining the primary or secondary school, or looking to complete senior school in Years 11 or 12, your choice of a school will have a significant and long lasting effect on their life.

We believe that Toongabbie Christian School is a very special place for a number of reasons. It was established in 1981 as a ministry of Toongabbie Baptist Church to be a caring Christian community that supports families by providing a quality education which develops the whole person in a Christ-centred, caring environment. From a small beginning as a single stream primary school, Toongabbie Christian School has grown into a spacious and well-resourced campus with a student enrolment of over 960 children and a staff of over 100.

We believe that the education of children must be done in partnership with parents. Further, we strongly believe that the best education occurs when the Christian values that are taught and upheld in the home are the same values supported by the School. We can achieve this by ensuring all our Staff are committed Christians who are active in service in their local churches. We seek to create an environment where our students can grow in Christ. We do this by having a strong emphasis on developing individual gifts, whether it is academic, in the creative and performing arts or on the sporting field.

We teach subjects that would be offered in any other school. However, we teach every subject in every course from a perspective that honours God and emphasizes that the Bible is God’s Word and that Jesus Christ, God’s Son is the central figure in God’s plan of salvation for mankind. Parallel to this is a pastoral care network that supports the student as they grow, and gives opportunity to develop students’ spiritual gifts in the service of God and others. This is all done within a community of care, working in partnership with parents.

Toongabbie Christian School seeks to be a caring Christian community that supports families by providing a quality Christ-centred education which develops the whole person for life and eternity. Vision Statements:

  • To provide a quality Christian education that meets the academic, spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs of each student.
  • To teach the NSW Education and Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum encouraging each student to attain their best possible results according to their God-given abilities.
  • To infuse the curriculum with a biblical worldview that challenges students to become discerning and able to make wise judgments.
  • To challenge all students to trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and to assist them to grow as His disciples.
  • To provide opportunities for spiritual growth and service that help students grow in Christian character.
  • To help all students grow in a biblical understanding of themselves and others as loved, valued and unique because they are created in God’s image.
  • To have a mature Christian staff who are well-qualified, passionate people who seek to model Christ to the students.
  • To work in partnership with parents and their church for the nurture, growth and equipping of their children.
  • To develop a relational community where the biblical principles of love, grace, justice and forgiveness are learnt and practiced.
  • To be a Christian witness, through life example and missional endeavor, to our local community and the world.
