West Park Primary School

West Park Primary school is located in the beautiful village of Nottage, Porthcawl about 1 mile from the golden sands of Rest Bay. The Victorian Seaside resort of Porthcawl possesses a good range of shops, restaurants and amenities. The school has easy access from junction 37 of the M4 and has good road links to surrounding towns and villages. The school is set in extensive grounds that include a mature woodland.

The school was opened in 1972 and has since been extended to incorporate the growing needs of the community. We are a busy, friendly school with lots going on. We believe in developing the whole child in a caring and nurturing environment. We endeavour to foster in all our children a love of learning so that they have the necessary skills to become ambitious and capable lifelong learners who are enterprising and approach new challenges with a positive and optimistic attitude.

We encourage pupils to identify their strengths as well as to continually improve and achieve to the best of their ability. We aim to inspire in all our pupils strong values and a sense of empathy so they can develop as ethical informed citizens who are confident and show respect for themselves, each other and indeed for the whole of this exciting world.
