2018

HE Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi visits Falcon British Nursery to promote student well-being

His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi, Director General, Abu Dhabi Chamber visited parents, staff and children at Falcon British Nursery. He toured the premises as well as meeting with staff from Medeor Hospital, Ibn Nafees Medical Center and Al Reem Dental Center regarding the Chamber of Commerce’s pioneer collaboration – the Dhabi Initiative. He addressed the groups by highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle and looking after teeth and eyes and thanking the participants for having community projects that support the children of the UAE. He thanked staff for giving up their valuable time to be part of the Limitless Privilege program. Ms Amelia J Brown, the principal of Falcon British Nursery addressed the adults and children by agreeing that collaborations like the Dhabi Buthoor Initiative is vital for supporting community health and that the leaders of tomorrow need to focus on their health today. She commented on the limitless privilege children have in the UAE growing up in a country where visionary leaders show children that anything is possible. This optimism gives education institutions like Falcon a head start in getting children ready for school and life because the framework for success is already laid.

Doctors and dentists looked at the children’s teeth, eyes, height and weight of the children and gave parents and children items to help them remember to have a healthy lifestyle while Falcon British Nursery had a role play doctor’s surgery, optician and dentist for the children to enjoy while waiting to see the medical professionals. The day was a great success and the children were still talking about it when they left for the evening. Falcon British Nursery is proud to be partnered with Chamber of Commerce for this CSR initiative.

Falcon British Nursery -ECA's PDEP training for international PDEP trainers qualifies 2 staff members.

Falcon British Nursery runs the first PDEL (Positive Discipline for Everyday Life) training in the nursery for 16 parents.

PDEP is an interactive program that strengthens relationships, promotes healthy child development, and teaches parents how to resolve conflict without punishment or violence. It is a universal program for all parents and caregivers. PDEP is based on two pillars:

Scientific knowledge of children’s emotional, cognitive, brain and sexual/gender development. Children’s rights to protection, dignity and participation in their learning.

Parents gain knowledge and skills to scaffold their children’s learning, manage their stress, and resolve conflict in positive ways that respect their children’s level of understanding and their individuality.

Participants are welcome regardless of their child’s age – from baby to teenager.

They will meet in a small group (10-14) for weekly 2 hour sessions over 9 weeks.

Across the highly interactive sessions, they learn how children develop, how to manage their stress, and how to resolve conflict with children in positive ways.

A fantastic nursery offering so much for young children. The classes follow an action packed timetable and I am updated throughout the day as to what my child is up to. My children have enjoyed both term times and the holiday camps thoroughly and Falcon City is a big topic of conversation at home!

My daughter loves going to nursery every day in British Falcon Nursery. She loves playing with her friends in the brilliant facilities that are there, whether its in Falcon City or the outdoor play area. Learning through English, Arabic and French is great. British Falcon nursery by far is the best we have encountered. This place is like a little college for children. The staff is very engaging, like every staff member literally knows every child in the nursery. They give constant feedback on your child behavior accomplishments and daily activities. To start with, the campus is beautiful! They have a very big green field with more than one playground and more than 1 sandplay station, and a cool driving track. Indoors, they have special equipped rooms for practically anything you can think of: from disco-like dance room, to Science experiment room, to cookery room, etc. My favorite is the falcon city room which includes a hair salon, clinic, super market and others. But all that is not why I am so happy with my son's nursery. My son is 3+ years old and he has language delay and took speech therapy sessions over the summer. I am noticing how much he is improving when it comes to singing and talking!! I feel he is so happy to go to the nursery every morning and that's what counts. I would also like to show my admiration to the safety measures they take when it comes to bus transportation; each kid must have his own booster car seat on board and I am informed by sms everytimes my son hops on and off the bus. I'm glad I did the right choice choosing this nursery for my son. Keep it up falcon!

I'm so happy with this nursery. My daughter is learning so much. This week she was learning about pumpkins and harvest because that is the theme and she brought home her cookery made from pumpkin and she had scooped out pumpkins in the science lab and she was telling me how they grow from seeds. I think it is very different. I do not feel like it is just a business. It feels like it is education focused. Best of all I am so happy with the teachers. I love getting information and photos every day on my phone app. I love the teachers phoning me to update me on how she is doing. I love there are so many things to do for events and that we are invited as parents to so many. International day was amazing. If I need to go to an appointment I can just phone and ask for later timing and they close at 6pm so this is never a problem. Everyone is happy to see me and my daughter in the morning. The managers are so helpful if I need help with something and the teachers are so lovely. I know they care about her. They want the best for her. That makes me happy. And, the holiday camp fees are so cheap compared to other camps. Oh my goodness. I paid 400 AED for one week from 8am to 1pm. And they do such a lot. In summer she came home with cooking stuff and science experiments and art, Every week was different and she was so excited to tell me what she had. And it does not close. My friend had to find another nursery for her child in August because her nursery closed for holiday. Really, I cannot recommend more highly. I am happy with my choice and I spent a lot of time looking at a lot of nursery schools before choosing Falcon British Nursery.

It is one of the best nurseries in Abu Dhabi. I feel comfortable and my son feels active and excited every early morning. He has many friends and all the boys in his class at his age. Moreover, the nursery has a strong methods to prepare the child for school (educational, physical and social) through reading some stories, making new friends and chatting in groups and learing three languages such as: Arabic, English and French. It also has an attractive teaching skills and thats really shows when my son come back home and singing and repeating what the teachers said. In addition, it in courage the playtime in playing outdoor, watching cartoon in TV and doing some activities to develop the muscles such as: playing play-doh, coloring and baking, On the other hand, it benefits me as a parent because they work in the behavior and give me a clear explanations about his day. So if you are searching for a good nursery for your child do not hesitate to register him in Falcon British Nursery.
