Falcon British Nursery was thrilled to receive the Eco School’s Green Flag for nursery schools. Falcon believes that a sustainable UAE is every child’s right and they are teaching sustainability at ground root level.
Ecology is an important part of the Falcon philosophy. Having taken the plastic free pledge in 2018, Falcon started their Eco Schools journey. Changing all disposable and single use products to sustainable products, the nursery started monitoring water and electricity usage. Our Eco team leader helped the Falcon Eco Warriors make visual graphs that could easily be read and showing the usage. Usage was reduced. All water that was not soapy or toxic for plants was reused on the grass areas. Lots of idea creation sessions with students, parents and teachers. Unfortunately, as the Green Flag was achieved just before the Covid closures in February 2020, the Green Flag ceremony was cancelled. The nursery is still thankful for the Eco Schools guidance and mentorship.
