Oakfield is an innovative, purpose built and well fitted out centre, with excellent resources, all sourced from Europe. The Curriculum is planned with meticulous care and timetabled around weekly themes.

At Oakfield, we follow the well-recognised British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum that promotes a natural and stimulating environment to allow children time to explore the world around them at their own pace. The EYFS approach to day care aims to include the best practices from both private and government initiatives, promoting teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’.

We aim to achieve a balance between free play and structured activities to meet the needs of all children and to encourage language, confidence and independence.

These are the seven areas that are used to plan your child’s learning and development with Oakfield Early Learning Centre. We ensure that all the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs. Children learn by playing and exploring, and being active.

They develop key skills such as creative and critical thinking, the ability to express themselves, work with others, and learn and understand.

All children deserve the best possible start in life and the support to fulfil their potential.

A child’s experience in Early Years has a major impact on his/her life.

Here at Oakfield ELC we aim to:

  • Provide education for children in a welcoming environment.
  • Offer a team of qualified, committed, enthusiastic and reflective practitioners of Early Years.
  • Allow children to learn and enjoy the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, to become successful and confident learners.
  • Foster positive and purposeful relationships between practitioners and parents
  • Offer flexible operational timings which reflect the needs of working parents

The blend of engaging lessons and caring staff at this Nursery has sparked a wonderful love for learning in my daughter; I couldn't be more pleased with her growth!

Since the minute my son joined this nursery, I could tell he was very happy and settled. He is enjoying his experience there and the teachers take such good care of him. He is continuously showing development in his learning and I will definitely keep him here until Grade 1! The FS1 and FS2 program is very strong and I love to see the children reading to the Centre Director and to the accountant and Registrar. It has such a family feel and I am so happy each day to leave my son there knowing he is receiving the best care and education.

From the top - the MD, Principle Ms Francis Wood, the Admin staff , Teachers , Teaching Assistant, Nurses and even the Cleaning ladies - are amazing people.I dont know how Oakfeild found all of these sensitive and caring individuals and brought them under one roof. I just know when my husband and I went to them with our 3 years old son who would say a word due to seperation anxiety and the truame he suffered - They took us in - Made us better parents and our son a fantastic , polite mannered little guy. My son wont say two words together - they made him to understand when to say thank you and when to ask for help and say please :) We are in debt with Oakfield forever - for helping us through the most difficult years of parenting .
