Private Schools

Publicly-funded Schools

There are 4 types of publicly-funded schools in Ontario: English Public, English Catholic, French-language Public and French-language Catholic. These schools are managed by the district school boards.

English Public elementary and secondary schools are open to all students, along with the English Catholic secondary schools. Catholic elementary schools are open to all students who were baptized as Roman Catholic and to children who have at least one parent/guardian who is Roman Catholic. 

French language schools are open to those students who are seeking a French education.
