Fees | Day Care and Early Learning for children ages 0-6

Financial Regulations

• Family rebates: Families with more than 1 child receive a rebate of 10% for the second and additional siblings.
• We use an App for booking, attendance and billing: https://www.famly.co/
• Families with moderate income may be eligible for reduced rates.
• Opening times: Monday to Friday 7:45-18:00, 49 weeks per year.
• Holidays: 3 weeks (1 w end of July, 1 w beginning of August, 1 w at
• Christmas) and the official Swiss legal holidays (5 days). During school holiday times, the educational programme will be slightly altered and will include more non-academic activities (non-core times, holiday clubs).
• For additional holiday weeks outside of our centre holidays we grant a refund of 50% under the condition that the additional holiday was booked on the app 6 weeks in advance. The maximum of additional holiday weeks qualifying for refund is 12 weeks. There is no refund for illness or other days of absence.
• Cancellation: The trial period is 4 weeks with the possibility of giving notice to the end of a week. After that the contract can be cancelled with two months prior notice to the end of a month. This rule also applies for a reduction of booked days.
• The bills will be sent out monthly per email.
• Parents who live in the Canton of Schaffhausen and who both are either employed or registered as unemployed, can apply for a subsidy by the canton of Schaffhausen. Childcare places for up to 4 years old get a subsidy of Fr. 20.- per day (at least 8 hours of attendance) and Fr. 10.- for half a day (at least 4 hours of attendance). Please contact the ISSH office for more information and for the application forms.

Building Fund CHF 3’500
This is a non-refundable one-time payment. It is billed together with the initial tuition fee invoice. This fee is not part of the operational budget but goes into a fund for financing the building and upkeep of the facilities.

Tuition fee

• CHF 29’160: Pre IB course grade 10 per year
• CHF 31’150: IB Diploma Programme grades 11 or 12 per year

Includes
Courses, tuition in all school-offered subject courses, cost of all course books and material, shuttle bus to and from school, use of a school computer, career and university counseling, CAS programme, homework assistance and study hour supervision, academic day excursions,use of media centre, sports facilities, WiFi and internet access.

Does not include
IB examination fees and other organizational services of the IB, Pamoja Online Courses, private tuition or coaching, musical instrument lessons, private sports lessons, city trips, excursions with overnight stays (i.e. Geography excursion to the Alps, camp weeks), liability or accident insurance, individual travel to and from the school.

Boarding fee: CHF 23’700 Per year

Includes
Supervision, accommodation and meals (3 x day) for 36 teaching weeks of school and for winter break (1 week Feb= internship week), weekend trips and excursions.

Does not include
Holidays (autumn, Christmas, spring, summer), single room, personal shopping, travel, theater, cinemas, concerts, personal restaurants, personal sports/club memberships; travel insurance for trips and excursions, medical insurances, cost of medical care and medication; personal mobile and smartphone costs, rental or purchase of ski equipment, cost of Swiss resident permit.

Discounts
There is a general reduction of 10 % for families with more than 1 child, applicable for the second child and additional siblings.

As part of the visa requirements, the yearly school and boarding fees have to be paid in advance. The bank statement of the school fees paid is part of the documentation needed for visa applications. The school will send a bill once the enrollment is completed. For students who do not require a visa, the ISSH Financial and General Regulations apply as outlined in the enrollment form.
