The Montessori International School of Vietnam is member of the internationally respected American Montessori Society (founded in 1960) - MIS is at Step 6 on AMS' Pathway of Continuous School Improvement framework. AMS is one of the leading proponents of the Montessori method. It has member and accredited schools in the US and around the world, with the idea that they collaborate, act ethically, as well as follow Montessori's educational philosophy. The Society also publishes guidance for both Montessori practitioners and parents.

The Montessori International School of Vietnam seeks to enable all its students to achieve their full potential by providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment, and by being sensitive and responsive to their individual needs. The School strongly emphasizes the development of the child’s qualities and skills that will help them become happy, confident and responsible individuals with an intrinsic motivation for life-long learning.

The Montessori International School of Vietnam (MIS) takes great pride in providing care and education to children in their formative years. Parents expect different things from their child’s first schooling experience. Some parents come to me and say that they would like their child just to be happy. Others expect their child to be academically advanced when leaving our programme.Montessori inspired schools are now found outside of the major metropolitan areas in the country. From its pioneer role, MIS has contributed, and will continue to do so, to the development of the Montessori education in Vietnam.

  • To foster the fullest possible development of the whole child, ultimately preparing them for life's many rich experiences.
  • To develop in their own natural rhythm, children who are physically and mentally independent, self-confident and self-controlled, able to manage the requirements of daily life with grace, ease and effectiveness.
