The curriculum is characterized by its aim of development of the whole personality through differentiated teaching and learning activities. British curriculum stresses the importance of independent thought. Students learn by questioning, problem-solving and creative thinking, rather than mere retention of facts.

These goals are achieved through a variety of teaching and assessment methods designed to develop analytical thinking and global mindset among students.

  • Progress is examined at the end of Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 through individual teacher assessment against the National Curriculum Attainment Targets for all subjects
  • Students follow the General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme in Key Stage 4, where most of them will take the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Board or Edexcel Examinations Board exams
  • Students typically take courses in the core subject groups of mathematics, science, English language, English literature and modern foreign language, but can choose other subjects from the options during the IGCSE programme
  • At the end of Key Stage 5 (Years 12 and 13), students then take the A Level exams. Years 12 (Lower Sixth form) and 13 (Upper Sixth form)
  • Upon completion of subjects, students are awarded certificates from the examination board
