At AMADEUS International School Vienna, we provide an innovative and positive learning environment for students in all grades. As a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, we follow the IB’s rigorous, internationally recognised programmes for students aged three to 18. Our inquiry-based learning approach engages students, addresses real-life challenges and cultivates critical-thinking, problem-solving and presentation skills. Our Commitment to the Arts encompasses a holistic approach to education by combining both academic excellence and passion for music and the arts. We maintain a truly international campus with over 40 nationalities, where multiple languages can be heard every day. Small class sizes allow for personalised attention. We provide English language support to enable all students to excel. As the language of our host country, German lessons are a requirement up to Grade 10 and offered at both the native and foreign language levels. Where requested and available, we also support the development of our students’ native languages through our mother-tongue programme. In addition to various technology tools, we provide our Primary students with iPads and our Secondary students with MacBooks to complement coursework.

At essence, we believe to ‘accompany’ means to walk alongside young people as they grow and develop. This provides students the freedom to make their path their own, whilst ensuring the correct measures of pace, support, challenge, and inspiration along the way. To reach one’s highest potential takes a positive and caring environment in which strengths are strengthened. It requires an environment where ‘highest potential’ is understood as flourishing, and learning is the ultimate good. An environment such as this stimulates students’ curiosities and creative energies; and fosters leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to excellence.

AMADEUS International School Vienna is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation as an IB World School. The IB is world renowned for its high academic standards, commitment to international mindedness and focus on developing skills that will prepare students for success in future educational endeavours and life in a global context. The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Co-Curricular classes at AMADEUS are designed to give our students real-life learning opportunities. With specially designed Curricula, students are able to engage with professional fields of study alongside the International Baccalaureate Programme. Co-curricular at AMADEUS means students are a part of a dynamic learning program that integrates the arts and emphasises process, play and a real-world product. It is a place where students and teacher are both learner and creator, building skills and involving themselves in new experiences.

Co-Curricular at AMADEUS allows for the expression of the intellect, imagination and emotion, it brings with it an understanding of continuity and change, demonstrating a unified approach to STEAM education centered on the ARTS. We want to model through good planning, how students can develop their capacity to manage their own learning, work together with others outside their year level, and engage in activities that reflect the real world practice of performers, composers, authors, artists and scientists.
